It was Round 3 of the British Trials Championship on Sunday near Neath in South Wales organised by the Neath Motor Club.
Quite a traditional ‘old school’ venue which is incredibly slippery. The severity of sections was good and I have to congratulate the club for marking out a graded hill climb which was enjoyed by both riders and spectators, especially me who wanted a go!
JSTGGUK/Cloburn rider Jack Price took the win and now has a slim one point lead in the Championship in front of his JSTGGUK Team mate Michael Brown. JP won in front of Iwan Roberts in second and Michael 3rd. Consistant lap scores gave JP the win.
Michael had a bad lap 2 which ruined his chances of the win.
JSTGGUK/InchPerfect rider Dan Peace had a fantastic last lap to finish 6th and only 3 marks off the podium. Dan is still carrying a knee injury. His younger bro Jack Peace struggled in 13th. Jack is also carrying an injury with a back he damaged in Spain last weekend.
Dan is now 4th and Jack 7th in the Championship
JSTGGUK rider Tom Minta fresh from his awesome ride in the SSDT was 9th.
JSTGGUK rider Sam Haslam didn’t have his best day in 12th but still holds a respectable 9th overall in the Championship
In the Expert Class JSTGGUK rider Dan Thorpe was 6th and is now 3rd in the Championship. Dan will bounce back at Round 4 in Scarborough in two weeks time.
GGUK/Cloburn GG rider Chris Alford and JSTGGUK rider Sam Yeomans were 13th and 17th respectively.
Thanks to Kev for preparing JP and Michaels bikes.
Thanks to Heath Brindley from www.trialmaguk.com for ther pics.
WTC Japan this coming weekend. Good luck to James Dabill, Jack Price, Dan Peace and Jack Peace who are currently on route…
