It was the Guisborough round of the 2017 British Trials Championship on Sunday and we had four JSTGGUK riders in the top five which is a fantastic result.
We didn’t have a GG winner though. This time the winner was Jack Sheppard who thoroughly deserved the win so congrats to him and to Beta UK.
JSTGGUK/inchperfect rider Dan Peace was a great 2nd who improved each lap and finished well clear of his team mate Jack Price.
JSTGGUK/Cloburn rider Jack Price was 3rd and now has a 6 point championship lead with a BTC double header finale next month in Scotland. Jack was very disappointed at the finish knowing his ‘seven’ 5s cost him dearly.
It was a quite a frustrating venue and both JP and Michael made way too many mistakes. Both gasser boys had seven 5s compared to Shepps three!
JSTGGUK/inchperfect rider Jack Peace was fourth beating his older team mate Michael Brown by one mark. Jack is now 7th in the Championship and ‘can’ finish 5th if he really wants to
JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown had a bad day in 5th with only a good last lap to show for his efforts. Too many mistakes on Sunday has now put him 3rd in the Championship 5 points behind Shep and 11 points behind leader Jack Price.
In the Expert Class yet again the ever reliable JSTGGUK rider Dan Thorpe got a GG on the podium in 3rd.Dan had consistent lap scores and now sits 3rd in his Championship which will probably be where he stays after the last rounds.
In the Youth A Class young Oliver Smith on his Oset/GG was 3rd and is now 4th in the Championship only 2 points behind Josh Hanlon.
Congrats to all.
