Team GAS GAS UK had an excellent day at Saturdays infamous TOUGH ONE event organised by www.worevents.com


SPEED TRIAL RACE;
GAS GAS riders filled the podium with a GG "1,2,3" at the Trials Race which was won by JST GGUK rider SAM HASLAM. His Team mate ROSS DANBY was second and another GG privateer rider ALED PRICE was 3rd.

James Dabil (GGUK) was 6th after running out of fuel on the last lap. Dibs had a bad start when he fell whilst running to his bike at the 'le mans' style start. He had to ditch his gloves before he mounted his bike which was not ideal and a few crashes on the opening lap trying to make up time made him struggle early on with shitty grips and bad arm pump. Then after running out of fuel on the last lap he was disappointed with his 6th place.

MAIN EVENT;
WAYNE BRAYBROOK (GGUK) yet again got his 38 year old body onto the T1 podium finishing 3rd !!
Wayne never fails to deliver at these extreme events and to run up that hill and holeshot the race just proves how fit and strong this Yorkshireman is. With over 30 years riding offroad bikes Wayne used his ability and determination to get him on the podium again. At the finish i was happy because i can always rely on Wayne giving 100% and if the result is good then its a bonus. Wayne is very much an 'old school' rider who is always very well prepared and just deals with whatever happens at an event and even though he is hurting, he still keeps 'grinding' where other riders simply give up or start making excuses.

The two riders that beat him are both 'full time' riders and alot younger. Taddy Blasusiak won and Tom Sagar was second.

His trusty GG 2t EC300 ran perfectly all race and i must say that his bike was nearly standard. The only changes Kev made to his bike were a stronger DEP front pipe, Renthal Bars and lowered the gearing. The GG 2t Enduro bikes are simply superb in these snotty conditions. This is fact....not just me bragging!

Team GGUK riders Ashley Wood and Bradley King were 19th and 21st respectively.
