DABILL wins BTC Round 3...

After a very close fought battle with his buddy Micheal Brown, the No.1 JST GAS GAS UK Rider JAMES DABILL won the 3rd Round of the British Trials Championship organised by the Neath Motor Club in 'sunny' South Wales.

With conditions being fairly dry it was obvious that after the Saturday afternoons practice lap things were going to be relatively easy and very nervy for the top two riders. (Dibs and Pune).

With both riders ability far exceeding the tricky sections, the winner was going to be the one that made the least mistakes and kept cool.
After the first lap Browny took the lead on 4 marks with Dibs a close second on 7. James had a scrappy 'three' on section 3 on the first lap which spoilt his good lap.
As James rode every section infront of Micheal we were initially unaware that Micheal 'fived' the first section on the second lap which put James in the lead by two marks. Dibs extended his lead with a mega ride on section 3 which Micheal had a further 3 marks. So out of the first wood, Dibs had a 4 mark lead which made for a very nervy second lap.
BOTH riders were riding very very well and what impressed me the most was the fact that James continued to ride infront of Micheal and kept his cool which was very difficult to do so with the tricky, awkward sections.

At the finish James' last lap of '5' was five better than Micheal and JAMES DABILL TOOK THE WIN!
This is the third consecutive win of the 2009 BTC season for Dibs and although he now has a 13 point lead we know that there's along way to go yet. Last year Browny was onfire early season but still lost the Championship in the latter stages to Grimbo. So my message to James is clear, keep your head down and keep working hard !

I personally congratulated both riders at the finish and told them to take this good form to Portugal this coming weekend for the next round of the WTC.

Shaun Morris was a very distant 3rd and Alexz Wigg was 4th just beating SAM HASLAM (JST GAS GAS) by one mark. With Sam in 5th his JSTGG Team mate ROSS DANBY was as forceful as ever finishing 6th. Ross showed some real aggression on the bigger sections and i hope he takes this form to portugal aswell..

Thanks to JACK and FACTORY KEV.

It was good to see our JST GAS GAS Teamster DAN THORPE back on the Expert A Class podium in third place behind Sam Connor and Ian Austremule.
Lee Sampson (TRC GAS GAS) was 6th and Liam Walker (JST GAS GAS) was 8th.

In the Expert B Class, ALBION GAS GAS rider Ricky Wiggins finished 4th and in now second in the Championship.
