GG weekend news...

Team GAS GAS riders had a busy weekend with 3 big events on..

Firstly the local Dave Rowland National Trial was as normal a huge success and was won by JONNY WALKER on his Wren GAS GAS!
Jonny won the event on his PRO125 beating regular National stars Sam Haslam (JSTGG) and Dan Thorpe (JSTGG).
This was a surprise win for Jonny who has obviously gained some good experience over the past few weeks at the WTC in Italy and Andorra. He lost only 5 marks beating Sam on the most cleans tie-break.
GAS GAS riders filled the results on the hard route filling 9 of the top 10 places! Only Josh woods spolit a full GG Top 10 finishing 8th on his beta.
Also good to see Paul Rose back in action finishing 13th ;)

The next event was the 5th round of the Youth A+B BTC at Merthyr Tydfil.
CHRIS SHORT (JSTGG) had his first A Class podium in 3rd place and CHRIS STAY (JSTGG) won the B Class !
Shorty is now 5th in the A Class Championship with three rounds to go... keep pushing mate ;)
In the B Class, George Gosden (JSTGG) again finished on the podium in 3rd place and because he beat his nearest Championship rival Luke Walker George now has a 15 point lead with three rounds to go.
The win for Chris Stay means that he has jumped infront of Luke in the Championship and is now 2nd. The I.O.W boys are really impressive this year in the B Class and lets hope for a B Class 'I.O.W / GG one-two'!

The Steve Plain / GAS GAS UK Enduro Team were out in force at Round 5 of the prestigous GBXC Championship.
No.1 GG Rider ASHLEY WOOD (EC250) had a good battle with the 'terminator' of cross country racing Lincoln Brewster who he managed to fight off and finish 7th (8th overall) at the finish. The course with its good technical parts with some mental flat out sections was a good mix to test all abilities and balls!
GGUK Teamster Bradley King was a solid 9th in class (11th overall). This was a good result for Brad who has improved alot this year with his positive and commited attitude to his sport.
GGUK Spannerman Luke Meredith had a nightmare seeing him crash early on and wrecking his throttle which meant he had to pit early to change it. Luke finished 13th in class but waaaaaay down overall ;(
GGUK rider Gareth Hopkins was a non-starter due to re-agrivating his shoulder injury at 'The Welsh'
All four of 'Plainer's Boys' will be hard at it this coming weekend at Round 2 of the BEC.
Good to see Knigher back to his winning ways;)
