Various events this weekend for the Team…

Firstly James Dabill JST GAS GAS UK finished 6th the Urban Trial at Cahors in France. Cabestany won, Jeroni 2nd, Fuji 3rd, Toni Bou 4th, Frexia 5th and Dibs 6th.

The format is a strange idea that the rider with the most points wins. They claim points for cleaning each part of each section. There’s a choice of gates / routes in the sections with different points for each route. (I think….im not sure because I wasn’t there!)
For Toni to finish 4th it must have been a ‘different’ style of event….
Dibs was not too happy with the result but nevertheless both James and Jack were happy with his riding.

Next was the Inter Centre Team Trial in Cornwall. The South East Centre won so congrats to them.
JST GG Teamsters Sam Haslam and Ross Danby did not ride this event so the best JST GG rider was Dan Thorpe who helped his Yorkshire Team to finish 3rd.
JST GG Youth A rider Chris Short finished 3rd in the individual scores in the A Class Youth. Congrats also to the impressive Joanne Coles (ACEGG) who finished 5th in the A Class individual scores and helped her East Midlands Team finish 4th.
In the B Class the JST boys George Gosden, Chris Stay and Tom Dexter finished 2nd, 4th and 6th respectively in the individual B scores.

Ashley Wood (SP/GGUK) finished a respectable 7th overall at the Elite Sprint Enduro at Rhayader.

This new format of racing focuses on the actual special tests and not the traditional big loop of a regular Enduro. I believe it was a good days racing and maybe we will see more of these style of events especially with land becoming more of a problem for big lap Enduros.

This is just what the top riders need to prepare them for the WEC where there are more special tests… It is also better to watch for the spectators etc..

Luke Meredith (GGUK) finished 2nd at Round 7 of the Rideoffroaduk Race series. Luke had a BIG crash on the first lap but recovered well to finish 2nd.

Get well soon to the other three SP/GGUK Enduro Riders…Gareth Hopkins (shoulder op tomorrow), Brad King (neck-brace fitted today) and Charlie Evans..
