GG weekend news….

Scottish Trials Championship
GARY MacDonald, JSTGGUK won the first round of the Scottish Trials Championship. (see pic)

Women’s and Girls BTC
HANNAH STYLES, JSTGGUK won the Girls ‘A Class’ at the first round of the Women’s & Girls Championship. (see pic)
EMMA BRISTOW, JSTGGUK was 3rd in the main Women’s Class. (see pic)
JOANNE COLES, ACEGG, won the Women’s class with a cool win from Becky Cook. It sounded like a very nervy Trial with the low scores so credit to Joanne for keeping her head at this first round.

R2 YOUTH BTC
CHRIS SHORT, JSTGGUK rode with his injured hand and still finished on the podium at R2 of the BTC Youth A Championship. Chris collected a healthy 15 points to help towards his Championship. Chris only lost 2nd by one mark.
CHRIS STAY, JSTGGUK finished 4th in the A Class which is a very solid ride especially in his first year of A Class.
GEORGE GOSDEN, JSTGGUK did not have the best of days in 8th place. George was under pressure with the time limit after bending a rear sprocket and had to change wheels which forced him to take time penalties. Nevertheless, he still got 8 points to add to his points tally for the Championship.
JACK STONES, JSTGGUK, had an awesome and ‘career best’ result finishing 2nd in the B Class. WELL DONE Jack!
JACK PRICE, B+BJSTGGUK, battled on and finished 10th.

CLEVELAND NATIONAL
SHAUN MORRIS, JSTGGUK finished a close 2nd to Michael Brown at the superb Cleveland National. Both Shaun and Punito were level all day until the closing stages when Shaun crashed on the moors damaging his front brake hose which forced the 2009 Winner to ride the last group with no front brake.
Shaun was disappointed not to win but is happy with this confidence boosting ride.
DAN THORPE JSTGGUK finished 4th (I think, no results yet)

MANCHESTER 17 FISHER TRIAL;
CRAIG ROBINSON JSTGGUK, WON this superb two lap of 20 sections Trial which was re-scheduled from its normal January date because of the snow.
Craig kept his cool and was the deserved winner from his JST Team mate DAN FARRER. Craig rode well last weekend in the Bemrose and again yesterday so im pleased for him. Nobody can doubt Craig’s talent which he has in abundance but has failed to control his ‘hop, flick and fart’ riding style in the past but it looks like he has got it ‘sussed’ at the moment, good on ya pal.

‘Office boy’ was rubbish, but enjoyed his ride.

Also worth a mention was JAMIE DOBB (Monster Energy Sports Marketing Manager) who is getting used to Trials and finished a respectable 9th place in the Clubman Class.

JAMES DABILL, JSTGGUK No.1 Rider is still out in Spain and swapped his footrests for pedals yesterday and rode a steady 36 mile cycle ride! Dibs has one more week left of his Winter Training before the last round of the IWTC in Majorca. Then he comes back home for Easter where he will ride the Chris Carter National with his Sister!

After Easter its GO,GO,GO for Dibs and Team with a flat out 6 week stint with BTC2, WTC1, WTC2, SSDT and BTC3 and ill be there kicking his ass all the way!

Regards
Shirty
