DABILL 4th in the World.....and more GG weekend news
JAMES DABILL JST GGUK No.1 Rider has finished 4th in the 2010 WORLD INDOOR TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP! download this file Dibs was superb at the final round on Saturday night in Mallorca and breezed through the heat and semi final to qualify into the final. He looked very sharp and alot more focused than in Madrid two weeks ago. His timing was spot on and he did enough to finish 4th on the night and 4th in the overall Championship. After speaking to Dibs he was a little gutted because he missed 3rd in the Championship by only one point behind his Team mate Adam Raga. Adam failed to qualify into the final on Saturday after a few slack marks. Dibs now returns to the UK after his Winter training and Indoor season to concentrate on the ‘Outdoors’ starting with a ‘fun ride’ at his local Chris Carter Novogar Round this coming Saturday. I say ‘fun’ but he will be keen to win this mega Trial. Dibs will need to concentrate 100% to win as he can sometimes ‘doze off’ when the sections are relatively easy. After the Chris Carter things are flat out for the next 6 weeks with BTC2, WTC1+2, SSDT and BTC3. DAN THORPE, JST GGUK Multi National winner WON the superb JACK WOOD Trial yesterday. Dan kept his head over the 7 hours and 50 sections to drop only 8 marks to beat Ben Morphett by 5 marks. Ross Danby (JSTGG) was 3rd losing out on the tie break with Ben also on 14 marks. Sam Haslam (JSTGG) had an ‘off day’ and finished 5th on 25. Craig Robinson (JSTGG) finished 6th on 31. Four fives didn’t help Craig which was possibly down to the No-Stop rules.. ‘Office Boy’ was rubbish and finished 10th but had a fantastic day cruising around possibly the best UK National eating Potters Pork Pies! Darren Wasley (GG) was 2nd in the hotly contested Clubman Class. Factory Kev (JSTGG) was 10th on his awesome PRO225. Congratulations to Jamie Dobb for a superb ‘Clean’ on section 44 on the Kwai ! Thanks Eric Kitchen for the Pic ! JOANNE COLES (ACEGG) won the second round of the Womens BTC beating her main rival Becky Cook again J EMMS BRISTOW (JSTGG) was a close 3rd behind Bex. HANNAH STYLES (JSTGG) won the Girls A Class easily. ASHLEY WOOD (Steve Plain GGUK Enduro Team) finished 3rd in the Under23 ES2 Class at both Round 1 and R2 at the superb NEW British Sprint Championship over the weekend. Ash was consistent all weekend with no mistakes. He struggled a bit for speed and really needs to get those test times down at this coming weekends R2 of the ‘normal’ British Championship Enduro in Scotland. With the rest of the GGUK Enduro Team injured Plainer inherited a ‘manx import’ in the name of DANNY McCANNEY and WOW did he impress! 18 year old Danny WON his Under23 ES3 Class easily on both days on his GG EC300. He was actually 2nd both days overall in the popular Under 23 Class. Regards Shirty |
