DABILL and GARY win BTC3...

JAMES DABILL No.1 JST GGUK Rider has just won the 3rd round of the British Trials Championship in Devon.

Dibs was in awesome form this weekend and won in style by 13 marks over ‘on-form’ Michael Brown.

The overgrown wood was fairly dry but extremely slippery which never dried completely due to a few light showers. Michael was hoping for severe rain because he was riding at the front whereas Dibs was near the back of the entry doing his own thing. We were praying for the rain to lay off otherwise Browny may have had the advantage.

Nevertheless Dibs’ gamble to chill paid off and Dibs rode relaxed all day. He struggled on section 2 which was tricky and soooo easy to ‘five’ which he did on the first and third laps. However he kept his head very well and never panicked. He knew the nature of the venue could trip anyone up for quick fives and whereas Dibs struggled with section 2, his pal Pune struggled with section 10. Dibs was used his head very well yesterday and impressed me. He kept his flamboyant riding style to a minimum on the slippy rocks and had a few sensible dabs that were needed.

The top boys now have a welcome weekend off before BTC action resumes in S.Wales in two weeks time.

Shaun Morris JSTGG was again on the BTC podium in a fine 3rd place beating SSDT winner Alexz Wigg quite easily. Shaun is getting his confidence back and was good to see him ride like we all know he can do...
Shaun is now joint 3rd in the Championship with Alexz.

Ross Danby JSTGG was 6th beating his Gasser Team mate Sam Haslam who was in 7th.

Craig Robinson JSTGG unfortunately retired due to bad crash injuring his hand. Craig is a tough lad and tried to continue but had to retire in pain. After x-rays late last night it was confirmed that his hand is broken so Craig will miss the next round in 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed he’ll be ok for BTC5 on June 20th

GARY MacDONALD JSTGG ‘smashed’ the Expert A Class and rode very well indeed. Gary won all three laps and beat Ian Austermule by 16 marks. Gary smiled all the way home with a tired smile and eventually got home at 4am this morning! Gary now leads the Championship but only by one point from Ian.
Gary is really enjoying the GG now and I think will get better and better as the year goes on..

CHRIS STAY JSTGG also deserves a mention for winning the Youth Class. Chris is another rider that is on-form at the moment after his near win last weekend at the A Class National..

Thanks to Kev and Jack.
