GG weekend news….Awesome Dawson wins at WOR !

No less than 5 new 2018 GG Enduro models lined up for the start of the www.worevents.com race on Sunday at a new venue near Ludlow. What a faaaaaast race it was hitting speeds of over 85mph!
Ryan Shacklady on the WOR/CFRACING EC300RACING recorded 136kmh on his speedo! Ryan finished 4th overall in Expert Class after a scary crash lap1 injuring his thumb. This didn’t faze Run albeit shook him up for a while.

GG Dealer Martin Sandiford rode hard and finished a great 2nd in the competitive Expert Vet Class. 2 fuel stops spoilt his chance of the win. Martin wasn’t sure how long the gasser would do so gladly made the sensible decision to fuel twice. Sandi was 7th overall. Congrats to winner Kev Freeman. Martin is having fun back Racing and has lost none of his talent from his old MX days.

New GGUK Team rider Dawson Marriot collected his new 2018 EC250RACING just a week ago and after 2 hours riding in the week he entered his first race and blew the rest of the clubmen away to win his class convincingly and was also a very creditable 8th overall.

John Shirt was gutted to have his first DNF since back riding and promoting the new bike. After a flat out straight coming into a corner the bike coughed and spluttered for approx. half a lap then stopped with suspected broken reed VFORCE4 reed petal. I guess that’s Racing. Not ideal for the new bike but a genuine reason that I’m not hiding. These things happen and is no detriment to the performance and reliability of the new 2018 bikes thus far.
Shirty had a few more laps for fun on Nathan Bolton’s 2018 EC300RACING that he was riding. This was Nathans first race for a few years so was glad to have a rest whilst kindly lending his bike to Shirty for a few laps.

Thanks to www.worevents.com for the event considering the weather in other parts of the country and it was good to see a few gassers on the line and 3 in the Top 10 overall 🙂
