A great weekend in Scarborough at the weekend which was dominated by Team JSTGGUK.
Saturday was Round 4 of the British Trials Championship at Harwood Dale as always organised by the Scarborough and District Motor Club.
JSTGGUK/Cloburn rider Jack Price won convincingly to increase his British Championship lead to 12 points in front of his JSTGGUK team ‘mate’ Michael Brown who is still hanging on to 2nd in the Championship.
JP34 was superb on Saturday and was the best rider on all 3 laps. He finished with a ‘clean’ last lap to stamp his authority on the event.
JSTGGUK/InchPerfect rider Dan Peace was second which is Dan’s best BTC result to date. Dan had two consistant laps 1 /2 and also finished with a superb last lap of only 3 marks to beat Beta’s Jack Sheppard to the runner podium place.
JSTGGUK/InchPerfect rider Jack Peace also had his best BTC to date in 5th getting closer to the podium. A great result from Jack who is pushing the established top lads now.
JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown was 7th after joint leading after lap 1. A nightmare lap 2 wrecked Michael’s day. He recovered on the last lap but the damage had been done. Nevertheless Michael is still riding well and is riding with a smile on his face which is priority nowadays. The sections were quite ‘hit and miss’ and he simply had too many ‘misses’!
JSTGGUK riders Sam Haslam and Tom Minta were 14th and 15th respectively.
In the Expert Class JSTGGUK rider Dan Thorpe was 4th missing out on a tie break for the podium. Dan is now in 3rd place in the Championship standings half way through this 8 round championship.
Cloburn/GG rider Chris Alford had his best BTC result of the year in 8th recovering well after a shaky first lap.
JSTGGUK rider Sam Yeomans was 16th just outside the points.
In the Youth 125 Class it is worth a mention and a well done to Oliver Smith (OsetGG) who finished 4th and fair play for having a go at the Super trial on Sunday. Well done!
Sunday was Round 1 of the British ‘Super-trial’ Championship also at Harwood Dale organised by the Scarborough and District Motor Club.
This event was great to watch with the stop allowed rules on complete different sections to the previous day. This event was better for the spectators who came out in force to watch the countries best riders.
JSTGGUK/InchPerfect rider Dan Peace won and thoroughly deserved the win. He was best after the two heat laps and in fact kept his feet up all day until the last two sections which were the most difficult. He was the only rider through section 7 which actually got him the win. A big ‘needed’ one dab ride on the last section to grab him this big win.
Well done Dan and well deserved!
JSTGGUK/Cloburn rider Jack Price pushed Dan all the way finishing 2nd. Again excellent riding from JP again yesterday and he was still happy at the end admitting he was beaten by the better man on the day and he knows he just can’t win them all.
JSTGGUK/InchPerfect rider Jack Peace was 3rd and beat his one of hero’s Michael Brown for the last podium place. Jack gave 101% and was loving the event yesterday, A thoroughly deserved podium for young Jack lad!
JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown made the grand final and finished 4th.
I was extremely proud to see all four finalists on GG machinery.
Well done Team and thank you for a great weekend for GAS GAS!
Thanks to Kev for preparing JP machine.
