It was the very successful EnduroGP at the infamous Hawkstone MX Track at weekend which was organised by the Fast Eddy Crew.
Congrats to them for a great race format, superb tests/course and fantastic event.
The GASGAS Factory was there with their No.1 Rider Jonathan Barragan who was 10th in Enduro2 Class on Saturday and 8th on Sunday. Good solid results for him albeit I expected better considering he is an ex MX rider in perfect conditions for him.
GG Factory report to follow..
The Fast Eddy crew put on a 2 hour race early Sunday morning for the non-world championship riders and we had 4 x GGUK riders again promoting the bike;
The best GG rider in this race was again young Dawson Marriott who was 4th in the Clubmen class and was gutted to miss the podium by a very small margin.
Friend and GG Dealer Martin Sandiford was out again in the Expert Vet Class and was 5th in class. Martin loved the track especially the MX track. It didn’t take Martin long to catch and pass me who got an excellent start and enjoyed the holeshot. I ended up 6th in Vet Exp Class and quite happy to finish another race still loving the new bike.
We also drafted in at 7.15am Sunday morning ex MX rider/sand master/ Weston winner Rob Meek, father of the Watson boys to ride my demo 2018 EC300RACING. Rob made sure he was fully hidrated with the ‘wrong’ fluids on the Saturday night but manned up and rode the gasser for ‘fun’. Rob finished and to get away from his fans returned to have a snooze in his camper for the afternoon
It was good to get Rob on the GG for his opinion of the new bike which I hope he enjoyed.
Thanks to pit crew, Neil Atkin, Kev Hipwell etc…
Thanks to Tim Tighe for the photos.
