A full Team effort by all JSTGGUK riders, associated families and paddock staff…What another great week in the Highlands and a flat out busy week for all concerned. Not only for the riders but also for all the families involved and the busy GG paddock crew. Many thanks to all.
Also many thanks to the Highland and District MCC for another great event with some tough weather.
The Team had some great results with 3 riders in the Top 10 and 7 riders in the top 25. JSTGGUK rider Jack Price was the best GG rider in 4th place just missing out on the tie break for the podium with local rider Gary McDonald. Jack rode excellent all week and thoroughly deserved the podium so was naturally upset that he lost the tiebreak. This will however keep him well motivated for better things next year. I was very proud of Jack all week who rode with a very cool head especially under pressure. A very mature ride for only his third attempt and for 20 years old.
Next best GG was Sam Haslam in 9th who was very consistant all week riding with his friend and fellow GG rider/dealer Jack Lee.
10th was long standing and loyal JSTGGUK rider Dan Thorpe who i can always rely on. Great position for Dan….again!
Fourth best GG rider was inexperienced Dan Peace in only his second Scottish who was 18th. Dan had a few bad rides which cost him dearly. 18th is not a true reflection on how Dan was riding because he was riding well, just too many costly mistakes which is usually lack of experience. Dan also won the best 250cc award which was good for the brand.
Another Top 20 ride from Dec Bullock who was 20th riding just in front of JP showing him the lines. Good family effort from Declan.
Alexz Wigg was a lowly 22nd but still managed to smile his way round. Not the best riding from Wiggy this year due to lack of bike time and preparation before hand.
24th went to JSTGG rider Richard Timperley which was a massive improvement from last year.
JSTGGUK boss man John Shirt was 36th in his 30th Scottish just beating his pal Juan Knight in 38th…Top 30 would have been nice!
FK/JSTGGUK rider Chris Alford was 39th who had family duties on Wednesday successfully getting his injured sister Louise Alford off the moors with a injured knee. Congrats to Chris and get well soon Lou!
JSTGG Girl Katy Sunter finished yet another SSDT in 158th place.
Well done to all !
Thanks to www.trialmaguk.com for the pics all week.
Yet another great Scottish week for the GAS GAS Family….see you all next year!
John (tired but happy)
