A tough opening 2019 race for the team…
Gethin Humphreys was 14th in the Championship Class. The welsh racer had a great start then dropped back with too many mistakes which compounded. He then settled but the damage had been done. Tong is a venue that’s hard to actually ‘race’ sometimes. The harder you try the more mistakes are made. This i think was the case with Gethin who was desperate to do well.
I think a simple case of more haste and less speed is needed.
Dawson Marriott has moved to the very competitive Expert Class this year and he loves a challenge. He was fully ready for this Round 1 and also maybe tried too hard early on and also made mistakes. He soon settled though and achieved a respectful 15th place in the Expert Class
Great paddock presence and great support from friends x
